Tasks is your follow-up to-do list. After each call, SkipCalls can review the conversation and create a task when a person on your team needs to do something: call a hot lead back, prepare a quote, or handle a complaint. You can also add your own tasks.
Which plans include automatic tasks
Automatic tasks from calls are included with Growth and higher web plans, and with PRO in the mobile app. Tasks are managed in the web dashboard. On every plan, you can create and manage tasks yourself.
How automatic tasks work
After an incoming or outgoing call, SkipCalls looks for situations that need your attention, such as:
Sales opportunities that need a personal follow-up.
Requests your receptionist couldn't fully handle.
Complaints or issues that need a manager.
Custom quotes or pricing questions.
Scheduling requests that need manual coordination.
Tasks are created only when real follow-up is needed. Spam calls, very short calls, and calls your receptionist fully handled don't create tasks.
The Tasks board
Open Automations → Tasks in the left sidebar. Tasks are arranged on a board with three columns:
To Do: new tasks waiting for action.
In Progress: tasks you're working on.
Done: completed tasks.
Drag a task between columns to update its status. The counts at the top show how many tasks are in each column.
To see tasks for one customer, open that customer from the Customers page and use the tasks card on their profile.
What an automatic task includes
A title and description of what needs to be done, marked AI Generated.
A priority (High, Medium, or Low).
Lead notes and lead status with key details about the caller.
Tags, such as sales or complaint.
A due date, if a timeline came up during the call.
A link to the call that created it, so you can review the conversation.
View, edit, or complete a task
Click a task to open its details.
Click Complete to mark it done, or Edit to change the title, description, status, priority, or due date.
To remove a task you no longer need, click the trash button and confirm.
Create a task yourself
On the Tasks page, click New Task.
Enter a Title and an optional Description.
Choose a Status and Priority, and optionally a Due Date.
Optionally link the task to a customer under Contact.
Save the task. It appears on the board like any other task.
Tips for better automatic tasks
Give your receptionist good context: clear instructions, a complete Business Profile, and a Knowledge Base help SkipCalls tell when a person really needs to follow up.
Review regularly: if you see too many or too few tasks, adjust your receptionist's instructions.
Not the same as Call Tasks: the Tasks section inside a receptionist's settings sets what the receptionist should accomplish during a call. See Receptionist Call Tasks.
