App Settings

Written by Nikita Podelenko

App Settings controls how the SkipCalls mobile app works for you: notifications, which calls you see, outgoing call retries, contact saving, and the app's look.

Open App Settings

Go to the Settings tab and tap App Settings.

Notifications

Tap Notifications to choose what you receive by push and email. If push notifications are turned off for SkipCalls on your phone, you'll see a prompt here to turn them on.

  • Notification Preferences: push alerts for Call summaries, New messages, Spam calls, and Abandoned calls (callers who hang up without leaving a message).

  • Text alerts: Important call text alerts sends a text to your verified phone number when a call needs your attention. Requires PRO.

  • Email: turn email notifications on or off and set the address they go to. Your account email is used if you leave it empty.

  • Smart reports: Daily Recap (a daily push summary at the time you choose) and Weekly Report (a weekly email overview sent every weekend). See What is Daily Recap?

Hide unwanted calls

Hides spam and callers who hang up right away from Home and your call history, so you only see real conversations. Nothing is deleted. Turn it off anytime to show those calls again.

Smart Retry

When an outgoing call made by your receptionist fails, Smart Retry automatically tries again with a better approach.

Auto-Save Contacts

When an unknown caller shares details like their name, SkipCalls saves them as a customer automatically. Next time they call, your receptionist can greet them by name.

Dark Mode

Switch between the light and dark look of the app.
