Follow-ups: automatically text callers after a call
Follow-ups let your receptionist send useful text messages after incoming calls. You can use an AI-written message, a fixed default message, or both.
Smart Follow-ups
When Follow-ups is enabled, SkipCalls reviews the completed conversation and your Business Profile. If there is something useful to say, it writes and sends a personalized text to the caller.
You can add optional custom instructions, such as:
Always include a link to your website.
Sign messages with your business name.
Remind callers which documents to bring.
Leave custom instructions empty for fully automatic follow-ups.
Default text
A default text is a fixed message that does not depend on the conversation.
If Smart Follow-ups are enabled, the default text is used only when the AI has nothing specific to add.
If Smart Follow-ups are disabled, the default text is sent after every incoming call.
You can leave the default text disabled if you only want personalized messages.
Texts during calls
Enable Texts during calls when your receptionist should be able to send links, addresses, confirmations, or other information while speaking with a caller.
AI Auto-Reply
AI Auto-Reply is for two-way text conversations. When someone texts your SkipCalls number, your receptionist can answer questions and handle bookings by SMS. This setting is separate from after-call Follow-ups.
