Ask for Recording Consent
The Ask for Recording Consent setting lets your receptionist ask callers for permission before continuing with a recorded call.
Why this matters
Call recording laws can vary by state, country, and caller location. Some states or regions may require consent before a call is recorded.
You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to your business and taking the steps required to comply with those laws. If recording consent is required for your calls, turn this setting on and make sure your notice is appropriate for your business.
SkipCalls cannot provide legal advice or determine which recording laws apply to you. If you are not sure what applies, check with a qualified legal professional.
How to turn it on
Open SkipCalls.
Go to Receptionist Settings.
Open Advanced Settings.
Find Call Recording.
Turn on Ask for Recording Consent.
You can also customize the short explanation your receptionist gives when asking for consent.
What callers hear
When this setting is on, your receptionist asks the caller for permission before continuing. If the caller does not agree, the receptionist will not continue the recorded conversation.
