Call Forwarding Setup — Bell Mobility (Canada)

Bell Mobility supports Conditional Call Forwarding, which lets SkipCalls handle your unanswered, busy, or unreachable calls while your phone still rings normally.

Heads up on billing: Bell may charge $0.25 per forwarded minute on pay-per-use plans. Check your Bell plan or call Bell at 1-800-667-0123 to confirm whether call forwarding is included or billed per use. Some plans include it as an add-on.

Step 1: Disable Bell Voicemail

Bell's built-in voicemail will intercept calls before forwarding reaches SkipCalls. You need to disable it first:

  • Call 1-800-667-0123 (Bell customer service) or dial *611 from your Bell phone

  • Ask them to "remove voicemail" or "disable voicemail" from your line

  • Confirm the change is active before proceeding to Step 2

Step 2: Set Up Forwarding to SkipCalls

Open the SkipCalls app and follow the on-screen setup — it will guide you through the right codes for Bell.

If you prefer to do it manually, dial these codes from your phone (replace YOUR_SKIPCALLS_NUMBER with the number shown in your SkipCalls app):

For Modern Smartphones (HSPA/LTE — most Bell phones)

You can set forwarding via your phone's settings:

  1. Open Phone app → SettingsCall Forwarding

  2. Select "Forward when unanswered" (No Answer Transfer)

  3. Enter your SkipCalls number

  4. Save — you should get a confirmation text from Bell

Or use dial codes:

Forward When

Activate Code

Deactivate Code

No Answer (missed calls)

*92YOUR_SKIPCALLS_NUMBER

*93

Busy (declined calls)

*90YOUR_SKIPCALLS_NUMBER

*91

Unreachable (phone off)

*94YOUR_SKIPCALLS_NUMBER

*95

All Calls

*72YOUR_SKIPCALLS_NUMBER

*73

We recommend setting up No Answer + Busy + Unreachable (all three conditional codes) for the best coverage.

For Older CDMA Devices (EVDO/1xRTT)

  1. Dial *72 followed by your 11-digit SkipCalls number (1 + area code + number)

  2. Press Send/Call

  3. Wait for a confirmation tone

Step 3: Test It

  1. Call your Bell phone from another number

  2. Let it ring 4-5 times without answering

  3. SkipCalls AI should pick up the call

Quick Check: Is SkipCalls Working?

Not sure if the issue is on SkipCalls' side or Bell's side? Here's a fast way to find out:

Call your SkipCalls number directly (the number shown in your app) from any phone.

  • Agent answers → SkipCalls is working. The problem is Bell's forwarding — go back to Step 1 or call Bell support.

  • Agent does NOT answer → Something may be wrong on our side. Tap the help button in the app and let us know.

Troubleshooting

Codes don't work or show an error

  • Bell Business lines often require Bell to enable call forwarding on their end. Call Bell Business support and ask them to "enable conditional call forwarding to [your SkipCalls number]"

  • Some Bell plans don't include call forwarding by default — you may need to add it as a feature

  • Try the code without the leading "1" in the number if you're getting errors

Calls go to Bell voicemail instead of SkipCalls

  • Bell voicemail is likely still active and intercepting calls before forwarding kicks in

  • Call *611 or 1-800-667-0123 and confirm voicemail has been fully removed from your line

  • Re-enter the forwarding codes after voicemail is disabled

Getting charged per forwarded minute

  • Bell charges $0.25/minute on pay-per-use plans for forwarded calls

  • Ask Bell about adding a call forwarding add-on to your plan for a flat monthly rate instead

  • Make sure your SkipCalls number is a local number in your area code — long-distance forwarding incurs extra charges
