What are Lead Alerts?
Lead Alerts automatically call your team after an incoming call when the conversation matches rules you define. Use them for urgent service requests, hot sales leads, VIP customers, or any situation where a person on your team should hear the call context right away.
How it works
A caller reaches your AI receptionist.
After the call ends, SkipCalls checks the conversation against your Lead Alerts rules.
If a rule matches, SkipCalls schedules an outbound call to the team member or contact you chose.
The recipient gets a short briefing with the caller details, summary, urgency, and next step.
Example rules
Emergency service: "If caller mentions AC broken or HVAC emergency, call John at +1234567890 immediately."
Plumbing issue: "If there is a water leak or pipe burst, call Mike at +1555123456 in 30 seconds."
VIP customer: "If caller says they are a premium member, call the account manager at +1555999888 in 5 minutes."
Sales lead: "If caller asks about pricing or a quote, call the sales team at +1555222333 in 2 minutes."
Set up Lead Alerts
Open Agent Settings.
Go to Lead Alerts.
Turn on Alert your team after calls.
Add rules with the builder, or write your own instructions in natural language.
Write effective instructions
Each rule should include:
Condition: what the caller says or asks for.
Recipient: who SkipCalls should call.
Phone number: the recipient number, including the + country code.
Timing: when to make the call, such as immediately, in 30 seconds, or in 5 minutes.
Example instructions
If caller mentions HVAC emergency or AC broken, call John at +15551234567 immediately. If there is a plumbing issue, leak, clog, or burst pipe, call Mike at +15559876543 in 5 minutes. If caller asks about enterprise pricing or says they are a business, call the sales team at +15550001111 in 2 minutes.
What your team member hears
When the outbound call connects, the AI gives a concise briefing. That can include:
Why they are being called.
The caller's name and phone number.
A summary of the issue or opportunity.
Addresses, requested services, or other details the caller gave.
The urgency level and suggested next step.
Timing options
Immediately / ASAP / right away | Call as soon as the incoming call ends. |
In X seconds | Wait the number of seconds you specify. |
In X minutes | Wait the number of minutes you specify. |
Tips
Use specific triggers. "AC broken" is better than "problem."
Include the full phone number with country code, for example +15551234567.
Put higher-priority rules first.
Test a few calls before relying on Lead Alerts for emergencies.
Notifications
When a Lead Alert schedules an outbound call, you receive a push notification such as:
"Outbound call scheduled - Calling John the HVAC guy in 1 minute(s) based on your recent call."
Limitations
Only one Lead Alert call is scheduled per incoming call. The first matching rule wins.
Spam calls are excluded automatically.
Test calls do not trigger Lead Alerts.
Your subscription must be active and have available minutes.
