Set Up Your AI Receptionist and Call Forwarding
SkipCalls can answer calls made directly to your SkipCalls number or calls forwarded from an existing business or mobile number.
Set up the receptionist first
Add the business facts, greeting, Call Handling, and Call Tasks the receptionist needs. Connect optional tools such as calendars, transfer destinations, Knowledge Base, and follow-up messages only when you want the receptionist to use them.
Connect your existing number
Select your phone carrier.
Choose whether to forward missed calls or all calls.
Follow every setup step shown for that carrier and wait for the carrier confirmation.
On iPhone, follow the in-app Live Voicemail guidance when it is shown.
Call forwarding is controlled by your carrier. Codes, app settings, plan requirements, and supported modes vary, so use the current carrier-specific screen instead of a generic code copied from another provider.
Test the full path
Call the SkipCalls number directly. The receptionist should answer.
Call your normal number from another phone.
For missed-call forwarding, let it ring naturally without answering. Declining the call is not a reliable no-answer test.
Confirm the call reaches the receptionist and appears in call history.
If the direct SkipCalls number works but the normal number does not forward, send support your carrier name and the exact confirmation or error shown by the carrier. We will help you finish the setup.
