How to Set Up Team Accounts

Overview

Team accounts let you invite colleagues to collaborate on your SkipCalls workspace. Team members can access your agents, view call history, and manage contacts - all without needing their own separate account.

Note: Team accounts require an active subscription and are available in the web app only.

How It Works

As a workspace owner, you can invite team members via email. When they accept, they gain access to your workspace data based on their assigned role. Team members can switch between their personal workspace and any team workspaces they've joined.

Team Roles

There are two roles you can assign:

Member

  • View and manage calls

  • Access agents and contacts

  • Cannot invite other members

  • Cannot manage billing or phone numbers

Admin

  • Everything a Member can do, plus:

  • Full access to workspace settings

  • Can manage team members

  • Can purchase phone numbers

  • Can connect calendar integrations

Inviting Team Members

Step 1: Go to Team Management

Navigate to Team in your dashboard sidebar.

Step 2: Click "Invite Member"

In the Team Members section, click the Invite Member button.

Step 3: Enter Details

  1. Enter your colleague's email address

  2. Select their role (Member or Admin)

  3. Click Send Invitation

They'll receive an email with instructions to join your workspace.

Managing Invitations

The Team Members table shows all your invitations and their status:

  • Pending - Invitation sent, waiting for response

  • Accepted - Member has joined your workspace

  • Declined - Member declined the invitation

To cancel a pending invitation, click the X button next to it.

Changing Roles

For accepted members, you can change their role at any time:

  1. Find the member in the Team Members table

  2. Click the role dropdown next to their name

  3. Select the new role (Member or Admin)

Changes take effect immediately.

Removing Team Members

To remove someone from your workspace:

  1. Find the member in the Team Members table

  2. Click the trash icon on their row

  3. Confirm the removal

They'll lose access to your workspace immediately but keep their own personal account.

For Team Members: Accepting an Invitation

If you've been invited to someone's workspace:

Step 1: Check Your Invitations

Go to Team in your dashboard. Pending invitations appear at the top of the page in a highlighted box.

Step 2: Accept or Decline

For each invitation, you can:

  • Accept - Join the workspace with the assigned role

  • Decline - Remove the invitation

Step 3: Access the Workspace

After accepting, the workspace appears in your My Workspaces section. You can switch between your personal workspace and team workspaces using the workspace switcher in the top navigation.

Leaving a Workspace

If you've joined someone else's workspace and want to leave:

  1. Go to Team

  2. Find the workspace in My Workspaces

  3. Click the Leave button (door icon)

You'll lose access immediately but can be re-invited later.
