What this does
SkipCalls allows your AI agents to book meetings directly onto your Calendly calendar. This automation ensures you never double-book and allows your AI to handle the scheduling logistics for you, saving you time and effort.
Before you start
Calendly PAID account: You must have a Calendly Professional plan or higher. Free accounts do not work due to Calendly's API limitations.
SkipCalls account: Ensure you are logged into your SkipCalls dashboard.
Desktop browser required: Calendar connection is only available on the web dashboard. Mobile app users must use the web platform.
Step-by-step Connection Guide
Navigate to Settings and click on Appointment Booking in the sidebar.
Click the Connect Calendar button. If you already have a calendar connected, look for Connect Another Calendar.
Choose Calendly from the list of providers.
A new window will open. Log in to your Calendly account and click Authorize to allow SkipCalls to access your events.
Once the connection is successful, your Calendly account will appear in the list.
Select the specific Event Type (e.g., "15 Minute Meeting") you want your AI agent to use for bookings.
Setting Up Different Meeting Types (Zoom, Phone, Google Meet)
If you need your AI agent to book different types of meetings — for example, Zoom calls for some clients and phone calls for others — you can set this up easily in Calendly.
How it works
SkipCalls automatically detects what meeting type is configured in your Calendly event. If your event type has Zoom or Google Meet enabled, the AI will create a video meeting. If it's set to phone call, the AI will schedule a phone call.
Step-by-step setup
Create separate event types in Calendly: Go to your Calendly dashboard and create two (or more) event types. For example:
"30 Min Zoom Meeting" — set location to Zoom or Google Meet
"30 Min Phone Call" — set location to Phone Call
Connect Calendly to SkipCalls: If you haven't connected yet, follow the steps above.
Assign calendars to your agent: In the Agent Settings, under Calendars, add both event types. Each event type will appear as a separate calendar.
Name them clearly: Use descriptive names so the AI can understand which to use — for example, "Zoom Meeting" and "Phone Call".
Tips
The AI will automatically choose the right meeting type based on the conversation context.
If event types don't appear after connecting, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Calendly account.
You can create event types in Calendly first, then connect to SkipCalls — all your event types will be imported.
Important Note: Guest Emails
Calendly requires a guest's email address to create a booking. Because of this, the AI agent will automatically ask the caller for their email address during the conversation to ensure the meeting is scheduled correctly.
Troubleshooting
Connection Errors: Double-check that you are using a paid Calendly account. Free accounts will return an error during the connection process.
Expired Connection: If you see a "Needs Reconnection" alert, click the Reconnect button to refresh your authorization.
Popup Blockers: If the authorization window doesn't appear, ensure your browser isn't blocking popups for SkipCalls.
Event types not showing: If your event types don't appear after connecting, disconnect Calendly from Settings → Appointment Booking, then reconnect. This will refresh the list of available event types.
