The SkipCalls assistant is a chat where you ask for things in plain words, by typing or speaking. It can place calls for you, answer questions about your past calls, and help you set up and improve your receptionist.
For example: "Call the sushi place and ask if they have salmon rolls" or "What did the dentist's office say yesterday?"
Where to find it
In the app: tap the chat bubble at the top of the screen. The Home screen also shows suggestions you can tap to start a chat.
On the web dashboard: the same assistant opens when you plan a call or ask for help with setup.
What the assistant can do
1. Make calls for you
Finds the number: name a business and the assistant looks up its phone number near you.
Gathers the details first: order items, preferred times, questions to ask.
Calls now or later: "call now" or "call tomorrow at 10am".
Asks before it acts: it shows you the number and the goal of the call, and waits for you to confirm.
Changes or cancels: you can update the goal or cancel a scheduled call.
Examples:
"Call the Italian restaurant and book a table for 4 on Saturday at 7pm"
"Order 2 pepperoni pizzas from Pizza Palace for pickup"
"Call John at +1 234 567 8900 to reschedule lunch"
2. Answer questions about your calls
"What did the support agent say about my refund?"
"Show me calls from last week"
"Did I already call the restaurant about Saturday?"
The assistant searches your call history, summaries, and transcripts, and tells you what was said.
3. Set up and improve your receptionist
Change your receptionist's greeting, instructions, or voice
Add answers to your Business Profile
Set up call transfer numbers
Get call forwarding codes for your carrier and help if forwarding doesn't work
Check your calendar and appointments
Report a call that went wrong so we can look into it
4. Find information
If it needs something it doesn't know, like a business's opening hours, the assistant can search the web. It can also look things up in the SkipCalls Help Center.
Example: booking a table
You: "Book a table at Luigi's for Saturday at 7pm for 2 people"
The assistant finds Luigi's Italian Restaurant near you.
It asks: "I found Luigi's Italian at (949) 555-XXXX. I'll call to book a table for 2 on Saturday at 7pm. Is that right?"
You tap Confirm.
Your receptionist makes the call. When it ends, you get a summary and transcript.
Tips
Be specific: include quantities, names, and preferences up front.
Be clear about timing: "call now" or "call tomorrow at 3pm".
Use names from your contacts: the assistant can find their numbers.
Check the result: open the call to read the summary and full transcript.
