If SkipCalls isn't answering calls on your iPhone, this guide will help you fix common setup issues. Make sure call forwarding is configured correctly so the AI can step in when you're unavailable.
Understand How SkipCalls Works
SkipCalls AI takes over your incoming calls when you can't answer.
Here’s how it works:
When you decline a call, it's forwarded to your personal SkipCalls number.
AI answers the call automatically and handles the conversation.
🔔 For this to work, call forwarding must be enabled and functional on your iPhone.
I Got a "Failed" Message When Setting Up Call Forwarding:

Failed Message:
This means call forwarding was not activated ❌

This means call forwarding was activated ✅
Solution:
Try the following steps:
Turn Off Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Calling
Go to
Settings > Wi-Fiand disable it.Go to
Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Callingand turn it off.Try again.

Forwarding Success, but AI Still Not Answering?
Possible Cause:
Live Voicemail on iOS may be interfering.
Solution:
If you received a success message after dialing the code, but AI isn’t answering the calls:
Try turning off Live Voicemail on iOS.
Go to
Settings > Phone > Live Voicemailand switch it off.
Live Voicemail can interfere with call forwarding by answering the call before SkipCalls can.
⚠️ Important: Set Up Call Forwarding the Right Way
Don’t use iPhone Call Forwarding Settings - this forwards all calls — even when you're available — and may block outgoing calls.
Use the SkipCalls app instead
It sets up conditional forwarding (busy, unanswered, unavailable), so AI only answers when you can't.
