What is SkipCalls in simple words?

SkipCalls is an app where an AI answers your calls, makes calls for you, and sends you a summary of what happened.

You tell it what you need:

  • “Call this clinic and book me an appointment”

  • “Answer my calls when I’m busy”

  • “Deal with spam and random callers”

SkipCalls does the talking and you just read the result.

What countries does SkipCalls work in?

SkipCalls currently supports:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • Germany

  • Israel (outbound only)

  • Netherlands (outbound only)

More countries are launching soon.

How Incoming Calls Work in SkipCalls

SkipCalls does not replace your personal phone number.
People still call your normal number, the one you already use.

To let the AI receptionist answer your calls, you need to set up call forwarding on your phone.
This forwarding sends calls to your SkipCalls number only when you can’t answer, for example:

  • when you don’t pick up

  • when your phone is busy

  • when your phone is offline

  • during weekends

  • or during hours you set as “after-hours”

You don’t need to forward all calls if you don’t want to.
Most users forward only missed calls and busy calls.

What the caller sees

To callers, everything looks completely normal:

  • They dial your personal phone number

  • Forwarding activates in the background

  • Your AI receptionist answers exactly like a human assistant

Callers do not see the SkipCalls number.
They never know forwarding happened.

Can I give customers my SkipCalls number directly?

Yes — if you want callers to reach your AI receptionist immediately, you can give people your SkipCalls number.

This makes your AI receptionist act like your main business line.

Most businesses do one of these:

  • keep using their personal number + forwarding

  • OR give clients the SkipCalls number as the “official” line

Both ways work.

What exactly can SkipCalls do for me?

Outgoing calls (AI calls for you)

  • You type a short task: what to do, what to ask, what to achieve.

  • SkipCalls calls the person or company.

  • The AI talks for you, asks questions, answers basic things.

  • When the call ends, you get:

    • a short summary,

    • full transcript,

    • key details (prices, times, names, etc.).

Incoming calls (AI answers for you)

  • If you can’t pick up, SkipCalls can answer instead.

  • It can:

    • filter out obvious spam,

    • talk to real callers,

    • collect their name, phone, reason for calling,

    • book appointments using your calendar,

    • send you a summary so you know what they wanted.

SMS (texts)

  • SkipCalls can reply to SMS messages for you.

  • It can keep the context of the conversation,

  • follow your instructions,

  • or ask you first before sending replies (depending on your settings).

Everything (calls, SMS, summaries, transcripts) stays in your app so you can check it later.

What languages are supported?

  • The AI can talk and understand many languages.

  • You can choose the language for a call, or we can try to detect it.

  • English works best and is the most polished.

  • For rare languages, the pronunciation or wording may not be perfect, but it will still try to communicate clearly.

If a call is critical and the language is exotic, you may want to double-check the result in the summary.

Is my data private and safe?

Yes. We care a lot about that.

  • Audio recordings and transcripts are stored on our servers in a protected way.

  • Only you can see your calls and texts inside your account.

  • We do not sell your data to advertisers.

  • We use the data to provide and improve the service, not to build some shady profile of you.

You can also ask us to:

  • delete specific calls,

  • delete everything,

  • completely remove your account.

What do I do if the AI misunderstands something?

It happens — just like with real people. The good news is you always stay in control.

Every call in your Call History has tools to fix the issue:

• Read the transcript and spot what went wrong.

• Update your Receptionist Settings — for example: “be more direct”, “ask for the price again”, “don’t accept alternative options”, and so on.

• Call your SkipCalls number yourself to quickly test the updated behavior.

If you have an important scenario and you’re not sure how to phrase the instructions, contact support. We’ll help you write a clear prompt so the AI handles the call exactly the way you want.

Do you limit minutes or calls?

No.
SkipCalls is designed as an unlimited service for normal, real-world usage.

  • No per-minute billing for normal users.

  • No surprise charges.

  • No “you used too much this month, we cut you off”.

If we ever see clear abuse (like someone trying to turn it into a call center API), we will contact that user directly. For regular people and small businesses – just use it.

How do I delete my data or account completely?

Inside the app:

  1. Go to Profile

  2. Tap Delete account

When you confirm:

  • all recordings,

  • all transcripts,

  • all phone numbers attached to your account,

  • all settings

are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

If you want to remove only part of your data (for example, a specific call), you can contact support.

How much does SkipCalls cost?

SkipCalls has a simple subscription:

  • Weekly plan – $3.99/week

  • Yearly plan – $99/year

Both give you:

  • unlimited calls in normal use,

  • unlimited summaries and transcripts,

  • AI answering,

  • voicemail AI,

  • SMS handling,

  • multiple AI agents.

You pay one fixed price, no hidden add-ons.

Can I use SkipCalls for my business?

Yes. That’s one of the main use cases.

SkipCalls works great for:

  • beauty salons,

  • barbers,

  • electricians,

  • plumbers,

  • auto repair shops,

  • clinics and wellness,

  • real estate,

  • freelancers and solo founders.

For a business, SkipCalls becomes:

  • your receptionist,

  • your voicemail,

  • your booking assistant,

  • your spam shield.

You can set business hours, what services you provide, what info to collect, and what the AI should never say or promise.

How Text Receptionist Works

Texts does not work through call forwarding. Carriers only forward calls, not text messages. If someone sends an SMS to your personal phone number → SkipCalls cannot see it.

✔️ If you want your AI agent to reply to TEXTS:

You must give people your SkipCalls number directly.

This number:

  • receives texts

  • sends replies

  • keeps the full conversation history inside your SkipCalls app

  • allows you to join the chat at any moment

  • lets the AI continue handling the conversation

This is the only way SMS automation works.

The Ideal Flow for Most Users

Here is the recommended setup that works best:

1. Forward only missed calls / busy calls to SkipCalls

That lets your AI receptionist answer when you can’t.

2. AI receptionist answers the call

It talks to the caller, helps them, collects details, or books appointments.

3. After the call ends, SkipCalls sends an automatic text to the caller

Setup in Receptionist Settings. Something like: “If you have any questions, feel free to reply here.”

4. The caller replies to that text

They are texting your SkipCalls number back, not your personal one.

5. Your Text AI receptionist continues the conversation

It can:

  • answer questions

  • follow instructions

  • provide updates

  • ask for more details

  • send links or information

  • make calendar reservations, check your schedule

6. You can see everything inside the SkipCalls app

You can watch the conversation live, jump in whenever you want, and write messages yourself.
